TURNER — Timothy Dow of Turner, a senior at Leavitt Area High School, has been selected to receive the 2011 Principal’s Award, Principal Eben Shaw has announced.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“During his four years here at Leavitt, Tim has distinguished himself in the classroom and as a leader in the school and community. His work as a peer tutor and mentor to younger students, make Tim an excellent role model for students in our district and an excellent representative of Leavitt Area High School. Tim is very deserving of this award.”
Dow and Shaw will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 7.
