Scrapbook Day at Lisbon High
LISBON FALLS — Lisbon High School Athletic Boosters will sponsor a scrap-booking event from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Lisbon High School cafeteria, Route 196. As part of National Scrapbook Day, participants are invited to join to work on scrapbooks or just organize their photos. Registration fee is $25 per person, lunch included.
Items will be available for raffle. Snacks and drinks will be available for sale throughout the day. There will be a goody bag for all preregistrations received by April 5. Kimberly Donovan and Michelle Huston will have Creative Memories product for sale. Checks should be made payable to LHS Boosters. Meeting of Retired Educators
LEEDS — The April meeting of the Androscoggin Retired Educator’s Association will be held Wednesday, April 11, at the Leeds Community Church, Church Hill Road. The business meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. The speaker for this meeting will be Connie Jones, director of community services at SeniorsPlus.
The ladies of the church will serve a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The cost of the meal is $9.

Lewiston Seniors cribbage league
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on March 29 were: first place, Monique Nadeau and June Boisvert; second, Ed Hinckley and Bryan Lambert; third, Dick Dennis and Roger Labbe; fourth, Robert Cielinski and Roger Briggs; fifth, Sandy Oliver, two-player table.

Social Bridge Club results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on April 2 were as follows.
First, Anna Vitiello and Rich Worthington; second, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Les Buzzell and Paul Sherman; first in B, Anna Vitiello and Rich Worthington; second, Dick Allen and Pete Cummings.
The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club winners on April 3 were: first/second tie, Mary Ann Trafton and Mike True with Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third, Patricia Garcia and David Lock; fourth, Luke Merry and Fred Letourneau; first/second tie in B, Hazel Glazier and Priscilla Rooth with Marta Clements and Claire Lyons.

Health event for men, women
LEWISTON — Pink & Blue: A His and Her Health Event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave.
Urology expert Dr. Michael Parker and breast cancer expert Dr. Marsha O’Rourke will share their knowledge about the diseases. Learn about available tests, new trends in treatment and ways to cut the risk of developing cancer. The event is customized for husband and wife teams.

Food safety certification class
TURNER — A ServSafe Certification course will begin in April at MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education. Classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 19. Cost is $160.
ServSafe is a nationally-accredited food safety certification program for food protection managers. The two-day workshop will include the ServSafe Certification exam and workbook. The certification is valid for five years.
This course is designed for food service managers, directors, chefs, kitchen managers, dietitians, dietary managers and food service staff. Topics include potentially hazardous foods, food handling, personal hygiene, HACCP, cleaning and sanitizing, pest control and food safety regulations and standards. Upon completion, students will be certified fully as a food protection manager. This training satisfies the state regulation for CFPM enacted January 2011.

Kindergarten registration
LISBON — The Lisbon School Department will hold kindergarten registration and screenings for the 2012-13 school year on May 7, 8 and 9. Call Stephanie Doughty at 353-4132 to schedule an appointment.
A parent information night will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the Lisbon Community School cafetorium, 33 Mill St.
An official birth certificate, social security number, current immunization record and documentation of a recent (within a year) physical examination by an MD, DO or nurse practitioner must be presented at registration.
Hebron holding registration
HEBRON — Registration and screening for next year’s kindergarten class at Hebron Station School will be held Tuesday, May 1. Children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15 are eligible to attend kindergarten.
Parents are encouraged to contact the Hebron Station School office immediately to set an appointment for May 1. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Be prepared to give the child’s name, birth date, home address and phone number.
On May 1, parents must present a copy of the child’s official birth certificate, a copy of the immunization record and a copy of the child’s most recent physical exam.
