POLAND SPRING — The wedding of Katelyn Marie Miller and Matthew Ellis was held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 1 at All Souls Chapel in Poland Spring. Denise Galipeau, aunt of the bride and notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Ellis is the daughter of Stephen and Susan Miller of Lewiston. Mr. Ellis is the son of Scott and Veronica Ellis of Afton, N.Y.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown with ruched waist, pearl and crystal beading on the bodice and matching bead work on the lace cap sleeves. Her elbow-length veil had crystal beading on the edge and she carried a bouquet of 18 white roses laced with white stalk and greens.

The sister of the bride, Rachel Miller, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Ashley Ellis and Amanda Ellis, sisters of the bridegroom, and Bridget Opoku, friend of the bride. Mya Opoku was the flower girl.

Serving as best man for his brother was Daniel Swearengin. Ushers were Mark Miller and Matt Miller, brothers of the bride, and Garrett Neal.

A reception followed at Spring Meadows in Gray, after which the couple went on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. They are residing in Winthrop.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York in Binghamton. She is employed by the Sisters of Charity at St. Andrew’s Group Home in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Harpersville High School in Harpersville, N.Y. and is employed as crew chief at Hannaford in Winthrop.
