TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult & Community Education has a variety of classes starting the week of April 23.

Step and floor aerobics: Learn step combinations that you can take to a high or low intensity. This class is meant for those who know basic step moves, but can be easily followed if you have coordination or like to dance. Students need to supply a step. Each session ends with abs, thighs, tricep conditioning and stretch.

Cooking gluten-free: Learn how to make delicious, gluten free food in this six-week class.

Dog obedience: Accomplish the goal of having a nice, courteous dog by learning corrections for behavior problems. Rabies shots must be current.

Cross bow safety: This is a one-night class for students who have completed bow hunter safety. Bows will be provided by the instructor.

Pilates and yoga session 2: Classes include core strengthening exercises combined with yoga poses and stretches.

Ballroom basics: Learn the basic steps of the foxtrot, waltz, jitterbug and East Coast swing.

Zumba session 2: Burn up to 800 calories in one exercise class as you shake, shimmy and salsa. It’s an hour of mixed impact, Latin-inspired dance fitness/workout. This class is for everyone – modifications will be provided to make the intensity higher or lower.

Vinyasa yoga flow session 2: A breath-powered movement class that incorporates elements of Tai Chi, dance yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Experience increased flexibility, clarity of mind and restorative relaxation.

Hooping to heal session 2: Learn the basics and see how you can heal mind, body and soul. Hooping strengthens the “core” of your entire being as it builds strength, reduces stress and brings joy while helping clear the mind and providing a great cardio workout.

Drawing session 2: Let your imagination soar as you learn “tricks of the trade” and develop your own drawing style. Bring paper, something to draw with and have fun.

Tai chi session 2: Relieve stress, increase flexibility and improve balance without exerting effort or stress. If balance is a concern, the class can be done in a chair.

Extreme couponing for real people: Save hundreds of dollars on your grocery bill as you learn where to find the best coupons, how to get organized and match store flyers with coupons. Find out the benefits of having a reasonable stockpile, how to roll store coupons and about the cash benefits of mail-in rebates.

ATV safety: Earn your certificate in ATV safety with this State of Maine approved course. Participants must be at least 10 years of age.
