PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Court documents show an informant told police a New Hampshire man who shot five police officers before killing himself and a woman was selling more than 500 prescription painkiller pills a day from his home in Greenland.
Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young asked a judge Tuesday to unseal the warrant that allowed officers from a drug task force to search Cullen Mutrie’s home last week. Mutrie shot and killed Greenland Chief Michael Maloney, who was just days from retirement, and injured four other officers. His body and that of Brittany Tibbetts were later found inside. Both had been shot.
The warrant says anabolic steroids had been found in his home in the past and neighbors told police more than a year ago they were concerned he was dealing drugs.
