TURNER — Owners Shelley Jamison and Mark Cote announce the relocation of Bessey Insurance Agency from Buckfield to the former Northeast Insurance building on Snell Hill Road in Turner.
Bessey Insurance began in 1939. Jamison is the third generation owner of the agency. It was founded by her grandparents, Gerald and Marion Bessey. They ran the business until 1978 when Jamison’s mother, Norma Bessey Colby, took over. In 1995, Jamison purchased it and continues to operate it today.
Jamison’s partner, Mark Cote, has more than 20 years in the insurance industry and owns Advantage Insurance Services in Rumford as well as the Weber Insurance agencies in Farmington and Kingfield.
