LEEDS — Having a tough time putting good food on the table? Become a member of the Rural Community Action Ministry’s Gardening Services. Create your own garden, grow fresh vegetables, eat healthy. The program is open to any who are income eligible or elderly or disabled, a beginner or experienced gardener and who live in Buckfield, Canton, Greene, Hartford, Leeds, Litchfield, Livermore, Monmouth, Sabattus, Sumner, Turner, Wales or Wayne.
Visit one of the following locations to determine eligibility and sign up.
Tuesday, May 1: 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Greene Town Office, 220 Main St.; noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Sabattus Town Office, 190 Middle Road; 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Litchfield Town Office, 2400 Hallowell Road.
Wednesday, May 2: 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Canton Town Office, 9 Staples Road; noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Hartford Town Office, 1196 Main St.; 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Buckfield Town Office, 34 Turner St.
Thursday, May 3: 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Town Office, 11 Turner Center Road; noon to 1:30 p.m. at the RCAM Office, 81 Church Hill Road, Leeds; 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Monmouth Town Office, 859 Main St.
