PORTLAND — John B. Bernier, 48, of Hartford, died unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center of a short illness Tuesday, May 1, with his family and friends by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, April 14, 1964, a son of George A. and Vivianne Bernier. He was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School with the Party Crew of 1982.
He grew up in New Auburn. He grew up with his best friend and twin sister Jane, he also shadowed his big brother Paul and loved very much his protector and big sister Pauline.
He worked at BIW as a crane operator, and went on to Paul’s Arctic Cat as a salesman which expanded to a distribution, where he became the operations manager of Road King Distributors selling trailers and became the largest distributor throughout the whole Northeast.
John enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, he enjoyed the finest that life had to offer. His favorite hobbies were snowmobiling, boating, motorcycling, vacationing and cruising in his beloved Firebird. He also loved his home on Canton Lake.
He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club, Bill Rogers Sons of The American Legion Post 153, and The Maine Snowmobile Association and local snowmobile clubs.
He is survived by his daughters, Angelina Boutot and her husband, Adam, of Greene and Nicole Lloyd and husband, Hollis, of Indiana; his mother of Lewiston; his father of Greene; five grandchildren, Kristy, Alexander and Lydia Boutot, Aidan and Caleb Lloyd; twin sister, Jane Cadman and husband, Chris, of Gray and Pauline Small of Lewiston; his brother, Paul Bernier of Hartford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Terri Bernier; and a niece, Kristy Small.
He will be remembered as a loving caring father, grandfather, son, brother and friend; he was loved deeply and he will be greatly missed. He will be always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts.
