Gov. Paul LePage’s ill-considered comment about middle managers in state government is another example of how he is tarnishing the image of his office and of the state. He seems to forget that he is no longer a private citizen; that when he speaks, he is representing the people of Maine.

Even more disappointing is that his behavior is a distraction from the real issue of how we work together to make Maine economically viable today and in the future.
