Western Maine Veterans’ Advisory Committee will raffle a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic to benefit the activities program at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris. Tickets are $10 each and a maximum of 2000 tickets will be sold. If the minimum number of tickets, 1800, is not sold, the alternate prize will be $5000 cash. Tickets are on sale at the facility, 477 High St., or by mailing a check to WMVAC, Att: Dick Young, c/o Maine Veterans’ Home, 477 High St., South Paris, ME 04281. Tickets will also be sold on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Smedberg’s, Route 26, Oxford. The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the second annual golf tournament sponsored by the WMVAC at Fairlawn Golf Course in Poland. For more information, call 743-6300.
