BRYANT POND — The next Down Home Maine program sponsored by the Western Mountains Senior College will be on Tuesday, May 15, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the 4-H Camp and Learning Center. Featured will be Ryder Scott, director of the center, who will present his research on sustainability education and propose that a “systems thinking” approach to education and organizational development can lead to sustainable individuals, organizations and communities.

The sustainable systems at the center, including a 10.3 kw solar power array, will be highlighted.

The Learning Center is on Lake Christopher in Bryant Pond. From Bethel, follow Route 26 for 7.7 miles. Right before the baseball field in Bryant Pond, turn right onto Lakeside Drive. Follow the road around to the left and the parking lot. The program will take place in the first building, the new log Lakeside Lodge; come in the front door on the first level. Come early for a tour of the facility.

Following the presentation there will be a potluck supper for those who wish to share a meal. For more details and to volunteer a dish contact fosteraustin@hotmail.com or 824-3400.
