CARTHAGE — Raz de Maree, a top-rated Quebecois band, known for its heartfelt music and liveliness, will perform in concert at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, May 16.
The dance band will also take the stage Thursday, May 17, at Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts in Unity.
Making up Raz de Maree are Tidal Wave’s members, Sabin Jacques and Eric Favreau, both from Quebec; Rachel Aucoin of Acadia on piano and vocals; and Stuart Kenney of New England on bass and banjo. Their outgoing personalities have led them to teach workshops and school programs, as well as perform concerts since 2003.
“Marche du St-Laurent,” the band’s latest album, features inspired melodies meant to be both listened and danced to.
Curtain is 7 p.m. at Skye, 7:30 p.m. at UCCPA. A jam session is slated one hour prior to curtain. Tickets are $15 at the door. Skye Theater is at 2 Highland Drive off Winter Hill Road and U.S. Route 2; UCCPA is at 42 Depot St., Unity. For reservations, call Skye at 562-4445 or UCCPA at 948-7469.
