HEBRON — A South Paris woman was taken to a local hospital early Sunday morning following a crash on Hebron Station Road.
Nicole Whittemore, 30, was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with non-life-threatening injuries after her 1994 Jeep Cherokee drifted off the road and into a ravine about 12:25 a.m. Sunday.
Trooper Daniel Hanson of the Maine State Police said the crash occurred on the rural road that runs between Route 119 and Route 124 near Hebron Elementary School.
He said that Whittemore may have fallen asleep at the wheel or was otherwise unable to negotiate a turn in the road. She drifted off the road and hit a guardrail before going down into a ravine.
She was wearing her seat belt. No charges were filed.
