FAYETTE — The fourth annual Fayette Fun Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the Fayette Central School. Everyone is welcome to attend. Children can enjoy the giant inflatable bounce house, candy drop, pony and hay rides, face painting and many fun games and activities.
The festival began four years ago when the Fayette School and Home Association was looking for a new way to raise funds for enrichment programs at the Fayette Central School. The event has continued to grow with the support of many generous individuals and businesses in the surrounding communities.
Participants may take an up close up look at the fire truck, ambulance, mud run truck, many different types of tractors, trucks and equipment in the “Touch a Truck” area. There will be farm animals and agricultural exhibits. There will also be activities including ice cream making, seedling planting and playdough making. Local craftspeople will be on hand to demonstrate spinning wool, drawing, artwork, antique engines and much more.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children. Lunch will be available. Event will be held rain or shine. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Fayette School and Home Association. For information contact Lacy at 897-3245.
