BURLINGTON, Vt. — Zach Grassette, a resident of Rumford, Maine, recently helped put on a student theater production at Champlain College titled “Lemonade.” In only three months’ time, Grassette and more than 30 other Champlain students from all different majors collaborated to produce the 30-minute show. The play, originally a student’s senior capstone project, turned into Champlain Theatre’s first New Works Festival, a place where students can feature their original work on an annual basis.

Grassette, a senior majoring in game programming, worked with the other students to devise a comedic piece that centered on a group of neighbors and their fight against the distribution of wealth.
