WILTON — Boy Scout Troop 518 is celebrating 100 years of continuous charter with Boy Scouts of America.
“Troop 518 has a rich history in the town of Wilton and will be participating in many events through the end of August to celebrate,” Troop representative Sheila Adkins said in news release. “We are currently waiting word from National as to whether we are the oldest in Maine or New England.”
There are a few fundraisers coming up to pay for programs, new equipment, apparel with the new logo including a new flag and a Scout trailer.

Two other events will be held Saturday, June 23, with doughnuts, coffee and juice sold in the morning at the Wilton Lions Annual Yard Sale on routes 2 and 4. In the afternoon, a barbecue will be held at the yard sale.
