FARMINGTON — No one was injured Wednesday afternoon but two cars were heavily damaged in a collision on Farmington Falls Road.
Bryndi Richards, 21, of Bangor was westbound on Farmington Falls Road, also known as routes 2 and 27, attempted to make a left turn on to Philbrick Street and collided with a car traveling east that was driven by Derek Allen, 35, of New Sharon, police Chief Jack Peck said.
Both drivers were checked out by NorthStar Emergency Medical Center personnel at the scene but were not transported to a hospital, he said.
Peck estimated that Allen’s 1968 Mercury Cougar and Richards’ 1997 Dodge Neon were both damaged beyond repair.
Peck assisted officer Michael Raymond at the scene. Farmington Fire Rescue also assisted and helped control traffic.
