TURNER — The “Music for Mavis” summer concert series at the community gazebo will open Tuesday, May 29, with Present Company, an all-female group known for its keyboards and rhythm.
The band has performed its blend of country, pop, swing, rock ‘n’ roll and gospel for more than 20 years around the state. Its repertoire spans from the 1930s to today.
Present Company members, from the Lewiston-Auburn area, entertain at fairs, festivals and dances across the state.
The Tuesday concerts feature a wide variety of music — swing, bluegrass, classical, klezmer, Acadian, reggae, jazz, island, rock ‘n’ roll and more. They are free and begin at 6:30 p.m. at the gazebo on Route 117. Concertgoers are urged to bring lawn chairs.
