WILTON — The Wilton Group is hosting a meet-and-greet candidate forum from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Calzolaio Pasta Co. in the function room on the second floor.

The goal is to create an informal atmosphere where the Wilton community can meet and ask questions of the candidates running for the Wilton Board of Selectmen.

A three-year position is being sought by Selectman Tom Saviello, who is running uncontested for another term on the board.

There is a three-person race between Tiffany Maiuri, Chris Krauss and Paul Berkey Jr., who are competing for the remaining two years of Paul Gooch’s three-year term. Gooch’s resignation will be effective at the town meeting in June.

The candidates will be introduced by Jennifer McEntee of The Wilton Group and will be allotted five minutes each to answer several questions, listed below.

When all candidates have finished, the floor will be open for questions from the audience.

The event is open to the public. The Wilton Group encourages the Wilton community to come and meet the candidates who seek to govern the town over the next three years.

Questions to be proposed to each candidate are:

* What is your current occupation and background?

* What skills and/or talents do you bring to the position?

* Why do you want be selectman?

* In your opinion, what are the three most pressing issues facing the town of Wilton?

* How can you make a difference?
