LISBON FALLS – Connor Craig, Kody Priddle and Kyle Priddle, along with Positive Tracks representative Patricia Tish Caldwell met with students during lunch at Lisbon High School recently. Students are attempting to form the LHS team before the end of the school year for the 2012 Dempsey Challenge.
“Positive Tracks is the Dempsey Challenge youth fundraising,” said Caldwell. “It is a wellness and community service initiative that benefits The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing in Lewiston. Positive Tracks not only encourages healthy physical activity, but challenges young people age 23 or under to inspire their communities by developing a wide variety of fundraising projects powered by their own creativity.”
Craig will serve as the Lisbon High School team caption this year. “Previous members of the LHS team, including the Priddles and Samantha Foote, will be graduating in June,” said Craig. “We want to start building our team now.”
For more information on the Dempsey Challenge scheduled for Oct. 13 and 14 in Lewiston, contact Caldwell by emailing CaldwePa@cmhc.org or visit www.dempseychallenge.org.
On event weekend of The Dempsey Challenge, The Positive Tracks Matching Grant Fund will automatically match, dollar for dollar, all money raised by youths 23 or under.
