WINTHROP — Author Jim Nichols will discuss “Hull Creek,” his novel about Maine fishing villages, published by Down East Books, on Tuesday, June 19, at Bailey Public Library.
Born in Brunswick, Nichols was raised in Freeport and now lives on the river in Warren with his wife, Anne. He has published work in numerous venues and has been anthologized in American Fiction and Contemporary Maine Fiction. He is a past winner of the Willamette Fiction Prize and received an Independent Artists Fellowship from the Maine Arts Commission.
His collection, “Slow Monkeys and Other Stories,” was published in 2003 by Carnegie Mellon Press.
