Angus King for Senate — I believe that says it all.

I was a member of the Board of Selectmen in Wilton when G.H. Bass notified us that the shoe shop was closing. We were completely dumbfounded.

Word got to then-Gov. Angus King and he took time out to come to Wilton to speak to the employees. I remember his first words to the people, “I am not going to con you. Bass is closing, but I will go to New York and speak to the people in charge; but I believe it will not change things. I will do everything in my power to help you people.” And he did.

Bass closed and the employees picked up the pieces and got along with their lives.

If he would do that for Wilton, imagine what he would do as a U.S. senator.
