PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater will kick off its summer season with Brent McCoy’s construction-themed, comedy show, “Circus WorX,” on Saturday, June 16.
The award-winning, stunt-driven show features a toolbox full of props, audience interaction and circus feats.
A world-traveling entertainer, McCoy was born and raised on a dairy farm in northeastern Vermont. So, he is no stranger to hard work. He began juggling in high school and spent thousands of hours practicing while studying at Bates College. Upon graduating, he ventured into the world with a degree in fine arts and 437 circus tricks, which have kept him employed ever since.
McCoy has become a versatile entertainer, equally comfortable doing shows on the street and on the stage. Since 2005, he has participated in numerous festivals, theaters and special events around the world. When he isn’t touring his theater show, he is street performing at Boston’sFaneuil Hall Marketplace, teaching physical theater with YES! Theater Company or producing variety shows with Vermont Vaudeville.
McCoy, known for his technical skill and wit, was the top-selling act at IndyFringe 2009, a grand finalist in Kingston Busker’s Rendezvous 2011, the People’s Choice at 2009 Vermont Festival of Fools and a nominee for Audience Choice best clown in the 2007 New York Downtown Clown series.
