According to experts such as Dr. Sheila Pinette of the Maine Center for Disease Control, the pattern of warmer winters over the past 10 years means that ticks and Lyme disease will continue to spread and thrive in Maine. Although the worst infestations are still in southern and coastal Maine, the “tick line” of heavier infestations has moved steadily north.

The program will take place in the Androscoggin Community Room and is open to the public. For information, call Martin Gagnon at 333-6640, ext. 4.
