BUCKFIELD — Newcomer Martha Catevenis won a seat on the Board of Selectmen on Tuesday with 168 votes to Eileen Hotham’s 164.

Hotham bested Caevenis for assessor, 175-154.

The race was close, prompting a recount late Tuesday night, a town official said.
