FORT KENT — One hundred sixty-nine students received degrees at the 130th commencement exercises at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
Stephanie Chick, senior class representative, addressed her fellow graduates. Chick is from Lisbon and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies. Other area graduates were:

PORTLAND – Victoria Silver of Auburn earned her Juris Doctorate degree and won several individual awards at the University of Maine School of Law graduation on May 19.
Silver won the Clinical Legal Education Award, which is awarded by the Maine Law faculty for excellence in clinical fieldwork based on ethical and high-quality representation provided to clients and the community, and for exemplary thoughtfulness in exploring lawyering issues and skills in an accompanying seminar. Silver also won the Faculty Award for Community Service, and the Student Bar Association Distinguished Service Award.
BRISTOL, Tenn. — Timothy Shawn Libby of South Paris, Maine, was recently named to the King College dean’s list for the spring semester 2012.
WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Alexandra Drechsel from Carrabassett Valley, Maine has graduated from Whitman College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. Commencement took place on May 20.
GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Eva Thornton of Bethel, Maine, recently graduated from Bard College at Simon’s Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree in electronic media and the arts and advertising and graphic design.
