AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — The Maine Secretary of State’s office is offering another seminar to inform Maine businesses about the risk of corporate identity theft.
The seminar will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bangor on Wednesday.
The Secretary of State’s office is working with the U.S. Secret Service and regional business development organizations to tell Maine businesses how they can minimize specific identity theft threats. They want to help business owners and managers learn how to be alert to risks, best protect their operations and effectively respond should breaches in their identity security systems occur.
These seminars are open to the public and free of charge. Several have already been held.
