BETHEL – What do a striking trout, Sunday River Resort trail map and historic covered bridge have in common?
These three and more scenes have been painted by local artists on handcrafted chairs that will be auctioned at the 9th annual ARTirondack, as part of the 23rd Bethel Art Fair scheduled for Saturday, July 7. (Rain date: July 8)
The auction raises funds to support arts education in the for more than 1,300 area public, private and homeschooled students in kindergarten through grade 12.
The chairs will be displayed at area locations until July 6, when they will be exhibited in an art walk connecting an opening of art fair artist of honor Arla Patch in the Owen Gallery at Gould with the Shy, Novice & Closted Artisans’ Soiree at 18 High St., from 5 to 8 p.m.
If you are unable to attend the live auction, you may submit a “left bid” by calling the Mahoosuc Arts Council at 824-3575. Leave your name, contact information, name of the chair and the dollar amount of the bid you wish to make. Your bid will be included in the live auction process.
