INDUSTRY — Industry Fire and Rescue will hold its annual Independence Day fireworks July 7 at Wing’s Field on Route 148.
New this year is an open-air concert featuring three local bands. Jason McClure starts the show at 4 p.m., Country Choir follows at 6 p.m. and Project 19 will finish the evening after the fireworks.
Gates open at 3 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blankets. Foods will be offered by RJ’s Hot Dogs, Mike and Carol Baker, and new vendors Gold Diggers and Nichols Road Hog Catering.
The Fire Department will offer VIP parking. For a $50 donation, a VIP gate pass to the show provides front-row parking along with a quick exit after the show if it’s wanted. The VIP passes are available at Black Bear Graphics, Pine Tree Cellular, Madore’s Market and Sandy River Farm Supply. A limited number of passes are available.
Local radio station WKTJ offers a chance to win a free gate pass prior to the show.
The Franklin County Animal Shelter will sell glow sticks and necklaces that night.
There is also a 50/50 raffle. Last year’s winner took home more than $500 in cash.
All proceeds from the show will help purchase rescue equipment for the Fire Department.
Attendees are reminded to leave all personal fireworks at home and refer to Maine state law on the use of fireworks.
The field is on Route 148, also known as West Mills Road. The field is approximately two to three miles from the intersection of Industry Road and West Mills Road. The fire station is on the right, and the field entrance is the next left.
