NORWAY — Hugh F. Lynch, 86, of Newry, died Tuesday, July 3, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Brewer, March 27, 1926, the son of Cochran and Ruth McKenney Lynch. He faithfully served our country in the U.S. Navy.
He had been employed by Sears and Roebuck in South Portland, from which he retired after 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 81 in Bethel. He had a good sense of dry humor.
He is survived by his nephew, David Milano; his niece, Erin Newton; many great-nieces and great-nephews; his adopted daughter, Kelly Townsend; and his close friend, Charlie Bean.
He was predeceased by two younger sisters, Carol Newton and Jean Milano.
