‘Desert Journey’ Bible School
PERU — United Baptist Church of Peru will hold Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon July 9-13 at 98 Main St.
The theme will be “Amazing Desert Journey.” Kids will meet friends, explore Bible stories, do activities, sing songs, make crafts, play games and eat snacks while learning about God’s love for them and how he provides for their lives. Methodist Church guest preacher
RUMFORD — On Sunday, July 15, the Rumford United Methodist Church will welcome Rev. Ernest Farrar as a guest preacher.
Farrar was an active member of the Rumford Church and is now the pastor of two churches in the Middleboro, Mass. area. The public is invited to attend the worship service which begins at 11 a.m. at the chapel on Linnell Street in the Virginia section of Rumford.
First Baptist Church summer hours
RUMFORD — The First Baptist Church of Rumford announces its summer hours. Morning worship and children’s church is now at 10 a.m. There will be no Sunday School until September.
Midweek payer and Bible study is still at 1 p.m. on Thursdays at the church.
Outdoor Vacation Bible School will take place Aug. 6-10 at Strathglass Park.
