BERLIN, N.H.  — Firefighters battling a blaze in a New Hampshire garage have found a person dead inside it.

Authorities say the fire was reported Sunday afternoon in Berlin. Firefighters who extinguished the blaze on Williamson Avenue found a person dead inside the garage.

Fire officials are investigating the exact cause of the blaze. They say a preliminary investigation indicates that work was being done to a vehicle inside the garage.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The victim’s identity and cause of death are being withheld until relatives can be notified.
