From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 20, children will get an opportunity to go through an amazing array of learning stations, mostly hands-on, including aquatics, beekeeping, forestry, animal husbandry, soils, minerals and a petting zoo. This year emphasis will be placed on learning about forestry. This is a wonderful opportunity for children ages 12 and under to explore something new and learn about the world around them.
All groups must be accompanied by an adult. A space will be provided for those attending to enjoy a picnic lunch, or lunch may be purchased from the vendors on the grounds.
Area sponsors will provide prizes. There is no cost beyond transporting the children to and from the fairgrounds.
Call Jean at OCSWCD, 743-5789, ext. 111, to make arrangements for your child/group to participate. Pre-register by July 15. It is imperative to know how many will attend in order to provide prizes.
