HEBRON — Head of School John K. King announced that Hebron Academy has graduated the Class of 2012 in the 208th year since the school’s founding. Among the 63 members, local residents include:

Kyle Richard Bernier of Greene was a member of the varsity boys’ lacrosse team, earning All-MAISAD honors this spring. Bernier, a four-year student at Hebron, helped lead the Lumberjacks to the MAISAD Class C basketball championship finals and was a member of the football team. Bernier plans to play lacrosse at Saint Leo University in St. Leo, Fla., this fall. He is the son of Felicia and Norm Bernier.

Jenna Danielle Bosse of Greene co-captained the varsity girls’ soccer and hockey teams and was a member of the track team. Bosse, an honor roll student, netted the game-winning goal for the Lumberjacks against Kents Hill in the MAISAD Championship this past fall and was a two-time MVP of the girls’ track team. Bosse is the daughter of Lisa and Dave Bosse of Greene. She plans to attend St. Anselm College, Manchester, N.H., this fall.

Samuel R. Cloutier of Lewiston, a postgraduate, was a leading scorer on the varsity boys’ lacrosse and hockey teams. He was a lacrosse MVP and was NNELL All-Conference, Academic All-League and All-MAISAD in lacrosse and the team’s leading scorer. Cloutier is the son of Patricia and Robert Cloutier of Lewiston. He plans to attend the University of New England this fall.

Allison Nicole Cummings of Harrison was an honor roll student who attended Hebron since middle school. She recently earned a prestigious scholarship to a Maine Media photography workshop this summer. Cummings was also a member of GSTA-The Bridge, Hebron’s gay-straight ally group. In 2011, Cummings was the recipient of the Compton Prize in Languages for her accomplishment in the field. Cummings is the daughter of Dawn Solomon and Wayne Cummings. She plans to attend the University of New England this fall.

Matthew David Fensore of New Gloucester was a highest honors scholar elected to Cum Laude Society. He received the Outdoor Leadership Prize for his “profound concern for the natural environment” in 2012 and 2011. An avid thespian and movie producer, Fensore participated in Hebron’s musicals such as “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” (2010), “Jesus Christ Superstar” (2011) and “Working” (2012) and made several short films. Fensore will be attending Hampshire College, Amherst, Mass., this fall and is the son of Carolyn and David Fensore.

Jonathan Shane Hearn of Auburn, an honors student, was a leading force on Hebron’s varsity hockey team, earning Most Valuable Player in 2012. He was also a member of the varsity boys’ lacrosse team. Hearn will represent friends, family and his home state at the United States Military Academy this fall, where he will play hockey. He is the son of Heather and Joseph Hearn of Auburn.

Rebekah Mae Jett of Norway was a highest honors scholar elected to Cum Laude Society. She was recipient of the Lorimer Scholarship Prize which honors a student for her commitment to liberal arts and potential for theater. Jett was a member of the varsity field hockey and softball teams and was an accomplished sculptor who joined Hebron Academy in elementary school. Jett will be attending Columbia University, New York, N.Y., this fall and is the daughter of Dr. Laura Jett.

Nicholas William Kesaris of Lisbon Falls was MVP of the boys’ varsity “B” and junior varsity lacrosse teams. He helped lead the junior varsity lacrosse team to a MAISAD championship this spring, which finished with an impressive 10-2 record. Kesaris is the son of Shelly Rae and Arthur Kesaris of Lisbon Falls. He plans to attend Maine Maritime Academy this fall.

Benjamin Thomas LaBombard of Hebron, a high honors scholar, was a four-year student at Hebron and core member of the Class of 2012. He is the son of Kathy Phillips and Scott LaBombard and plans to study welding at Southern Maine Community College this fall.

Maxwell Asa Middleton of Hebron was a high honors scholar elected to Cum Laude Society. Middleton was recipient of the Pheminster Award for outstanding leadership and responsibility, and the Award for Excellence in Drama. Senior class president, dorm proctor, Middle School Mentor, an editor of The Hebronian student-run newspaper, member of Hebron’s GSTA-The Bridge and HeeBeeGeeBees, Hebron’s select a cappella ensemble and dedicated thespian, Middleton was a major presence in Hebron’s drama program, starring in musicals “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Working.” He was also cast in off-campus productions with Auburn’s Community Little Theater and Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association. In 2011, Middleton received the Harvard Book Prize. Middleton will be attending Bowdoin College in Brunswick this fall and is the son of Julie and Steve Middleton.

Mariah Hope Mosher of Auburn was a highest honors scholar and valued member of the varsity girls’ soccer, ice hockey and softball teams. As a soccer co-captain, Mosher helped lead the Lumberjacks to their first MAISAD title since 2006 and was a four-year goalie and co-MVP of the ice hockey team, which she also co-captained. For her contributions in softball and the classroom, Mosher earned Academic All-League and All-Conference honors. She also co-captained the softball team. Mosher is the daughter of Heidi and Mark Mosher of Auburn. She plans to attend Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I. this fall, where she will play ice hockey.

Allyson Janet Strachan of Hebron was a highest honors scholar elected to Cum Laude Society. She received the Charles and Amy Dwyer Memorial Award for her contributions as an outstanding scholar-athlete and was recipient of the Academic Excellence Award in Spanish. A dorm proctor and singer, Strachan captained the varsity field hockey, varsity ice hockey and varsity lacrosse teams and was a member of the HeeBeeGeeBees. Strachan was MVP of the field hockey team and co-MVP of the varsity lacrosse team, for which she received All-Conference Honors. She was Academic-All League for the 2011-12 school year. In 2011 she received the Harvard Book Prize given by the Harvard Club of Boston. Strachan will be attending the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., this fall and is the daughter of Andrew and Sharon Strachan.

Lawrence Allen Taylor IV of Raymond was recipient of the Athletic Award in recognition of his superior performance in sports and his outstanding cooperation, leadership and fair play. Taylor was a high honors scholar who co-captained the varsity soccer, ice hockey and lacrosse teams. He earned Coach’s Awards this year for his contributions in soccer and lacrosse. A core member of the Class of 2012, Taylor started his career at Hebron Academy in the middle school and is the son of Stacy and Lawrence Taylor of Raymond. He will attend Cushing Academy for a postgraduate year this fall.

Harry Deenan Trask of Norway was a high honors scholar elected to Cum Laude Society. He was recipient of the Regis A. Lepage Scholarship Prize, given to a local student who embodies the belief that strength comes through education. Trask was a dorm proctor and dedicated thespian who held roles in Hebron productions of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Working.” In 2011 Trask was presented with the Middlebury Book Award for his leadership and academic accomplishments at the school. He was also a member of the HeeBeeGeeBees and the track team. Trask will be attending Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., this fall and is the son of Eliza Beghe and Jason Trask.

Corrie Hansen van Haasteren of Raymond was a high honors scholar and an important member of the varsity soccer, lacrosse and basketball teams. He earned NNELL All-Conference honors and a Coach’s Award for his contributions on the lacrosse field and helped lead the Lumberjacks to the MAISAD Class C basketball championship finals this winter. Van Haasteren, a member of Hebron Academy since the middle school, is the son of Ellen and Chris van Haasteren of Raymond. He plans to play lacrosse at Susquehanna University this fall.
