ANDOVER — The Andover Photography Contest will be exhibited on Saturday, Aug. 4, in the Town Hall. Photographers are placed into two groups, children 17 and under, adults 18 and older. There are five categories in which to submit. Portrait, landscape, animal, Photoshop and black and white. There will be 147 ribbons awarded, including one best show, six grand prize and first, second, third and honorable mention awards.

Photographs can be submitted at the Andover Town Hall from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, July 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 30, and from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1.

Each photograph must have photographer’s name, town and age visibly printed on the reverse side of the photograph. No professionals. A photographer who has already won a first place ribbon in a past exhibit is asked to not submit that photograph again. Framed or matted photographs do not affect the judging, but it does compliment the show. No photographs larger than 16-inch by 20-inch. All photographs must be picked up between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on the day of the show.
