RUMFORD — The Rumford Comprehensive Plan Committee has scheduled a public opinion session for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, in Rumford Falls Auditorium.

The committee is seeking a wide variety of opinions and viewpoints on what’s special about Rumford, what should be retained, changed and improved, Kevin Saisi, committee chairman, said Wednesday in a news release.

“The more citizens participate, the better the Comprehensive Plan will be,” he said. “Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.”

Facilitated by John Maloney from the Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments, the session will consist of a series of exercises and discussions about the future of Rumford.

“This is an important the first step in updating the 1998 Comprehensive Plan for the town of Rumford,” Saisi said. “Rumford needs to look at its future. Come talk with your neighbors and help us shape the future of our town.”
