PARIS — Steven Ragatz will bring his one-man show, “Under the Umbrella,” featuring feats of physical dexterity, to Celebration Barn on Saturday, Aug. 4. 

In this performance, Ragatz, portraying a dapper gentleman, calls on his circus skills as he takes audience members through his surreal day.

Ragatz has entertained with his juggling, physical comedy, circus arts and general antics for the past three decades. As a 10-year veteran of the French-Canadian circus Cirque du Soleil, he has toured throughout North, South and Central America as well as in Asia and Europe. He performs multiple juggling acts and has created an eclectic array of characters.

His television appearances include juggling on “The Tonight Show,” “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and “The Today Show.” Most recently, he has been touring internationally with Cirque Mechanics’ Birdhouse Factory and Boom Town.

An alumnus of Celebration Barn, Ragatz has studied mime, stage movement and circus arts with Fred Garbo and Tony Montanaro, as well as with George Pinney and Michael Moschen.
