The Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial’s annual Children’s Day program on Thursday, Aug. 9, will feature  the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers of Bar Harbor. The troupe will present “The Legend of the Banana Kid,” a 45-minute cowboy adventure featuring 20 hand-crafted glove, mouth and rod puppets. Admission to the 2 p.m. show is free. Children should be accompanied by an adult. The air-conditioned memorial is at 371 Sawyer Road in Greene.
