LEWISTON — Lewis “Louie” Duguay, 71, of Swett Avenue in Mexico, passed away on Sunday, July 29, at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness, with loving family at his side.

He was born in Mexico, Dec. 24, 1940, a son of Desire J. and Evelyn

(Strout) Duguay.

Louie was employed at several different manufacturing companies for many years and later was self-employed as a scrap metal dealer.

He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved his red Harley-Davidson trike.

Louie loved hunting and fishing, playing poker, bingo and going to the casinos.

He most of all loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 14 years, Rosanna (Fortier) Duguay of Mexico; nine children, Betty Cioffa and fiancé, Jeff, of Rumford, Beverly Tuttle and husband, Bill, of Mexico, Tina Poirier and husband, Louie, of Mexico, Troy Duguay and wife, Andrea, of Rumford, Corey Duguay and wife, Denise, of Mexico, Lisa McCarthy and husband, John, of Vernon, Conn., Rita Bennett of Willington, Conn., Francis Bennett Jr. of Chaplin, Conn., and Ann Bennett of Ellington, Conn.; a sister, Hilda Rouleau of Rumford; four brothers, Robert Duguay and wife, Gertrude, of North Carolina, Thurl Duguay and wife, Joan, of Rumford, Kenneth Duguay and companion, Andrea of Rumford and Ray Duguay and wife, Jackie, of Mexico; and 15 grandchildren, Bill Perry, Randi Cioffa, Amber Maurais, Laura Tuttle, Natarsha Tuttle, George Tuttle IV, David Duguay, Louann Poirier, Kyle Duguay, Alexis Duguay, Taylor Duguay, Dylan Duguay, Amber Sallstrom, Matthew McCarthy and Amanda McCarthy.

He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Michelle Bennett; two brothers, Desire Duguay Jr. and Perley Duguay; and a sister, Theresa Duguay.
