RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts invites the community to join them at their property on Loon Lake Road to celebrate “The Arts Are Blooming In Rangeley.” The afternoon event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. In addition to a display of the newest version of the architect’s design for an Arts Center, there will be a great program of entertainment. Talent will range from dance presentations to singing, from theater to visual art.

The RFA is a dedicated group of volunteers with a mission to “increase awareness, knowledge, education, appreciation and support for the arts by making available varied programs of high artistic quality and by related activities and to operate exclusively for charitable, literary or educational purposes.”

As RFA continues to nurture the appreciation of the arts in the region, it has become very apparent that there is a great need for a facility that will enable programs to expand and grow. The desire is a comfortable meeting house/auditorium for RFA programs and other community uses. The RFA’s long-term goal is to create a facility with an auditorium, classroom and studio spaces for learning, creating and displaying all the arts including but not limited to visual, creative, movement, instrumental, vocal and performing

An assortment of appetizers and summer drinks will complete the celebration. Bring a lawn chair.
