Green Church public supper
MEXICO — A public supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Mexico Congregational Church, UCC (the “Green Church”). The menu includes summer salads and meats, with homemade rolls and pies. The price for adults is $8, children under 12 $3. Take-outs will be available after 5:30; call 364-8603.
Fall sports mandatory meeting
RUMFORD — There will be a mandatory fall sports coaches/athlete/parent meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, in the Mountain Valley High School auditorium.
The athletic director and coaches will meet at 5. A meeting of the athletic director, coaches, players and parents will take place at 6 and team meetings will be held from 6:30 to 7.
To participate in MVHS athletics, athletes must have proof of a completed sports physical within the last two years. Also, athletes must turn in a signed emergency card. For information call the A.D. office at 364-4547, ext. 7126.
Peru Historical Society meeting
