I will be voting for Colleen Quint for state Senate District 17. The public has the opportunity to support a candidate who is serious about listening to what people have to say, and who has shown that as she campaigns door-to-door throughout the district.
Her experience on town and school committees will be important during policy discussions that may affect local governments, citizens and students.
Due to her work as executive director for the Mitchell Institute, I consider her an expert on issues related to higher education and encouraging youth to pursue their aspirations. She understands the linkage of education to Maine’s economic future and brings a lot to the table on that important topic.
Most importantly, I know her to be an incredibly hard worker who has a deep commitment to this state. Colleen Quint will represent us well in Augusta.
