This November will be a most important election for Maine. The Legislature needs the continued service of Rep. Paul Gilbert for District 87 (Chesterville, Jay, Mercer, New Sharon, Starks). Gilbert has served his community and state in a caring, as well as fiscally responsible, manner.
As an educator, I have known him as a parent, a school committee member, a community volunteer and as a state representative. He puts people first. Whether it is investments in our children, our seniors or our workers, Gilbert can be counted on to do his very best to represent all in a fair and enthusiastic manner.
I have observed him in the hallways of our schools, aiding seniors with tax preparations, listening to the needs of workers and going above and beyond to address the needs of his constituents.
The people of District 87 would have a continued strong voice by re-electing Paul Gilbert.
