Boothby will hold an open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at the family’s new farm stand on Boothby Road, also known as Route 108. There will be hay rides around the orchard and a walking tour of the adjacent Boothby Family Inn. The pick-your-own operation for the Paula Reds and farm stand is open seven days a week. The family grows six kinds of high-density apples on about 3,000 trees on seven acres. .
