PARIS — New York mime Bill Bowers takes audiences on a funny and poignant journey through mime, music and monologues.
On Saturday, Aug. 25, he will bring his acclaimed solo show, “Beyond Words,” with spoken and silent stories of small town America, to Celebration Barn.
One of the most famous mimes in America today, Bowers’ eloquent movement evokes the deepest truths of the human condition. Often compared to Chaplin and Keaton, he is a student of world-renowned mime Marcel Marceau.
Bowers has performed and conducted workshops throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. His original shows have been produced Off-Broadway.
“Bill Bowers first came to the Barn two years ago with one of the most powerful performances I’ve ever seen. He’s an outstanding storyteller, capturing the truth poetically with humor and grace,” said Celebration Barn Director Amanda Huotari.
