Neighborly Seniors meet
PERU — Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the former Peru School. A potluck lunch consisting of sandwiches and salads will follow.
New members are welcome.
The club will have a table at the Dixfield summer festival. Items are needed to sell.

Indoor yard, craft, food sale
DIXFIELD — Mystic Valley Grange will hold an indoor yard, craft and food sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. Craft tables are available. For information call 645-2423.
DHS Antiques Road Show set
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Historical Society will once again be hosting the DHS Antiques Road Show from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, in the Main Street museum Charter Meeting Room. Appraisals are $5 for one item or $10 for three.
The Al Larsen Festival of Flower will be accepting entries from 3 to 5 p.m. on the 18th for display at the Sunday events. Participants could win a blue ribbon for beautiful arrangements. Free entry.
Sunday the society will be holding a food and book sale, raffles and tours of the museum house and the John L. Towle Antique Tool Museum. Samples of handiwork from local crafters are also being requested for loan or donation. A display of the many handicrafts made throughout the area will be available. Drop off samples at the Town Office by Friday.
ATV ride for disabled
ROXBURY — New Hope Ride for any disabled person or group will take place at no charge at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. Sponsored by Roxbury ATV Riders.
The group can accommodate wheelchairs. A barbecue lunch will be served at the end of ride. Meet at Mike Worthley’s, 1162 Roxbury Notch Road. For information call Mike at 545-2715.
Lobster roll lunch Aug. 19
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Congregational Church will be selling lobster rolls, french fries, and beverage on Main Street, across from the Town Office, on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. until sold out. Lobster rolls will be $7, french fries $2 and soda or water $1.
Versatility Trail Challenge
PERU — Ernest Garcia and Sam Lindley of Gar-Lin Farm will host a versatility trail challenge on Sunday, Aug. 19, beginning at 9 a.m. as part of the Maine Versatility Trail Challenge series.
There will be four divisions with novice and open divisions for both youth and adult. The entry fee is $25 per horse and rider team. The farm is at 476 Auburn Road, Route 108. Contact Sam for more information at 899-7888.
What Not Shop summer clearance

Ludden extends book sale
DIXFIELD — The summer book sale at the Ludden Memorial Library on Main Street has been so successful that the library staff is extending the sale until Sept. 5. This is an opportunity to choose books for camp, vacation trips and summer guests or to stash some away for winter evenings. The public is invited to browse the shelves and tables downstairs in the library. Pricing is by donation.
