LITCHFIELD — Jeanne Lillian Kimball Strout, 63, of Litchfield, died Aug. 20, at home, surrounded by family after a six month courageous battle with kidney cancer.

She was born Feb. 20, 1949, in Portland, to Robert and Dorothy Kimball.

Jeanne belonged to the Lewiston PAL; was ASA commissioner for District 8 and 9, running several local, regional and national tournaments; she also coordinated regional and national umpire schools.

She coordinated the activities for the Lewiston Seniors; she was a member of IPP and AGPC; also a member of Gathering for Gardner G4G10; drove van for Augusta and Lewiston Seniors; and was a member of the Gorham Rebecca’s.

She enjoyed watching her daughters play sports, she was their No. 1 fan. She was adept at card playing; she always kicked ass and took names.

She enjoyed sewing and Tole painting.

Jeanne was a Monmouth High School math teacher and coach, Libby Tozier librarian and Lewiston Recreation coordinator.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Strout of Litchfield; her daughters, Joanne Strout of Belle Mead, N.J., Jodie and Jeremy Oakes of Dover, N.H., and Jessie Strout of Portland; her father and four sisters, Robert Kimball, Judy and Earl MacVane, Kathy and Jimmy Post, Karen Kimball and Linda Kimball; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Kimball.

She was an inspiration to all who knew her living life to the fullest, even up to the end, traveling all over the world with her husband. She always put her family first. She is very loved and missed!
