1919 – 2012

AUBURN — Eva L. Collins, 92, a resident of Auburn, died Tuesday at Clover Manor with family by her side following a long illness.

She was born in Hartford, Oct. 30, 1919, the daughter of Frederick and Lilla (Weston) Bryant. She was a great mother and grandmother who simply just loved all her family. Her apple pies were the best along with her chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting. At Christmas, no one could resist her traditional English pudding.

Eva was the last surviving member of her Bryant family siblings.

Survivors include her children, Stanwood B. Collins and wife, Daphne, of Turner, Cheryl Ayer of Buxton, Eric W. Collins of Lewiston, Teresa Tomlinson and husband, Albert, of Auburn, Sue Bobinger of Sabattus, Bonny Nolin and husband, William, of Auburn, and Frederick W. Collins and wife, Paula, of Lewiston; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred W. Collins, in 1982.
