RUMFORD — The Oxford County Republican Committee announced Friday the opening of two offices.

They are at 134 Congress St. in Rumford and 1548 Main St. in Oxford. Both will have an abundance of lawn signs, posters, bumper stickers, position papers, etc. — everything that the general populace needs at their disposal to make an informed decision in the Nov. 6 general election, Committee Chairman Tom Curtis said in a news release.

Regular scheduled hours for both offices will soon be posted on the front doors of each.

Candice Casey is the Rumford office coordinator. She may be reached at candiceanne1961@yahoo.com.

Delian Valeriani is the Oxford office coordinator, who may be reached at delianval@hotmail.com.

Curtis said a grand opening will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Oxford office. State Senate President Kevin Raye, who is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be in attendance. Refreshments will be available.

On Saturday, Sept. 15, Secretary of State Charlie Summers, who is seeking the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Olympia Snowe, will attend the Oxford Fair in the morning, Curtis said. Summers will travel to the Rumford office open house for a “meet and greet” session starting at 1 p.m.

He also urged people to visit the Oxford County Republican Committee booths at the Oxford Fair from Sept. 12-15 and the Fryeburg Fair from Sept. 30-Oct. 7.
