Sons of Italy meeting Sept. 17
RUMFORD — The Gorizia Lodge 467 of the Sons of Italy will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at the hall in Smithcrossing. All members are encouraged to attend.
Stephens High Class of 1958
RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1958 will meet for the monthly luncheon at noon Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Sam’s, upstairs.

Commercial kitchen planned
PERU — The Friends of Peru Elementary School plan to open a Shared Commercial Kitchen this fall in the old Peru Elementary School building. On Sept. 19, at 6 p.m., Marshall Piper, consumer protection inspector for the Maine Department of Agriculture, will conduct an informational meeting on commercial kitchens at PES, 30 Main St.
Potential producers, as well as the general public, are invited to attend. Learn how these kitchens work, ask questions and tour the facility.

MEXICO — The Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Far East Restaurant.

Red Hatters meet Sept. 29
RUMFORD — Twelve Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine met at Mary Pulsifer’s home for their August meeting. The Fairy House walk was canceled because of rain.
The next meeting will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, starting at Sunday River for a Chondola ride, followed by lunch at the Black Diamond restaurant in Bethel. Cars will leave from Mardens parking lot at 10:15 a.m.
